You will surely agree with us that it is very comfortable to hold business with permanent partners whom you know for years and interpret easily. In such cases making contract (if it is made as a matter of fact) is just a formality, registration of the existent cooperation for the accounting purposes.
But such practice of holding business is rather an exception than a rule in Ukraine. Inattentive reading of a contract text while signing it, absence of expertise or lack of knowledge of possible consequences of some provisions in commercial documents may lead to serious material losses.
