PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Alexander Ovcharenko has been practicing law for 9 years. His legal expertise includes a broad range of corporate matters, registration (incorporation) of companies, foreign investments, international road transport, international commercial and finance transactions, debt collection and litigation, international enforcement of court awards made in Ukraine, customs legislation of Ukraine, civil cases and immigration to Ukraine.
Mr. Ovcharenko carries out an independent legal practice for 3 years after leaving the Association of international road carriers of Ukraine, where he worked as a senior legal adviser and than as head of customs affairs department.
Working in the Association Alexander Ovcharenko was dealing with different issues of protection of Ukrainian truck operators’ interests in Ukraine and abroad.He successfully worked on several cases of release of foreign trucks and/or goods detained by customs authorities of Ukraine due to violation of customs rules. These and other matters became the topics of his publications in periodical press. As the representative of the Ukrainian Association, Mr. Ovcharenko participated in the meetings of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE, Geneva, Switzerland) working groups on customs matters affecting transport and computerization of international road transport (TIR) system. He also represented Ukrainian road transport Association in the meetings of Legal Affairs Commission and Customs Affairs Commission held in Geneva, Switzerland by the International Road Union (IRU).
After leaving the position in the Association, Mr. Ovcharenko established the Ukrainian Agency for Law and Investments legal company, which soon became the only Ukrainian member company participating in the International Legal Network of companies organized by International Road Union (IRU, Geneva, Switzerland) to serve the international transport industry.
At the present time Alexander Ovcharenko acts as a Ukrainian counsel for foreign companies in establishment and operation of their subsidiaries in Ukraine including immigration and visa matters of their staff. He also represents the interests of Ukrainian companies in Commercial courts of Ukraine in cases related to debt collection. His fluent English lets him communicate directly to executives of international client companies and their staff members

Alexander Ovcharenko is consistently recommended by international legal guides, including IRU International Legal Assistance Network annual guide as an expert in general business law in Ukraine.
